UID 2017: Arts & Cultural Performance
During the first session of the event, several performers will guide you to the ethnique and traditional Indonesian music. Here are their profiles:
1. SIN (Sekolah Indonesia Netherlands / The Indonesia School in Netherlands)
This school was established for Indonesian nationality kid in Netherlands. This school open for Indonesians who have a desire to give their children an education based on Indonesian value and curriculum. The goal of this school is providing access to a good, competitive, and relevant education with international standard but according to Indonesian value and culture. This school recently send the students to perform a traditional dance in several Indonesian events, including the upcoming UID 2017, to introduce and remind the beauty of Indonesian Culture through traditional dance.
Potatone is a musical group consists of several Indonesian bachelor students who study in Netherland. Since they study and live far away from their home and have the same interest in music, they create this group. This group mainly perform Indonesian pop song in their colour. They add a classical element in their music such as adding the saxophones, to polish their musical taste. They already performed in several Indonesian Cultural events. Ready to feel the trendy Indonesian songs in the different colour, come and join us.
3. Indonesia Classic Song by Ardelia Padmasaswitri
Ardelia started her musical journey in the Netherlands in 2014, and along the way she met Henny Diemer, and received guidance from her. Later in 2014 she started her singing education in the Utrecht Conservatorium under the guidance of Dobrinka Yankova. Studying at Utrecht Conservatorium, Ardelia has a lot of contact with the Early Music. In her second year, she was trusted to sing an aria from Bach Cantata BWV 180 “Schmücke dich, o Liebe Seele”, which was conducted by Heiko ter Schegget. Currently, she is continuing her third year in Den Haag Conservatorium under the guidance of Sasja Hunnego. In this event, Ardelia will perform Classic Indonesian Song written by famous poets such as Mohtar Embut and Izmail Marzuki.
